REVIEW: Fischer Audio FA-011 - OFF THE DEEP END!!
To be honest, there wasn't a big difference. Some of the difference came from the different pads which felt nicer, but were too shallow for me. Simply described it was a bit more refined FA-011, the bass was a tiny bit tighter, soundstage slightly bigger and maybe a tad smoother sound. The build...- Caze

They really do. I've sold my limited edition FA-011's but still rocking the originals as they still are quite excellent.- Caze

Welcome to the club. It's a little quiet here these days but I hope you'll enjoy your time with the LE. You seem to have gotten a beatiful pair. Still rocking mine Tiama 10/10 here.- Caze

Thank you but I'm well aware on how to disassemble the headband as that is what I did to repare it. Reason why I didn't just replace it with the spare one is that I want to maximize the lifetime of them.- Caze

The same part as in this post: http://www.head-fi.org/t/545368/review-fischer-audio-fa-011-off-the-deep-end/2070#post_11188517 but differently. The plastic "tube" that the screw goes into to hold the two pieces together broke off from the other side. Did you happen find any good...- Caze

Has anyone tried swapping out the headband completely on these (or the regular version)? One of the plastics on the headband broke on mine just like it did on my regular version but l managed to fix it with superglue for now. Luckily I ordered one spare headband from Fischer Audio when I bought...- Caze

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
Thanks for the tip. I guess I have to try with putting them in a bag of rice and hope for the best. Was also thinking of trying to rinse them with purified water and then letting them dry. But I'm not keeping my hopes up.- Caze

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
My beloved Gr07 Mk l ended up in the washing machine inside my pocket (zipper pocket and they were in the leather carrying case) which I didn't realize until a few days later. The left side I think still works properly (although it does sound a little low) but the right side (while louder)...- Caze

Don't go telling us that, now I want to hear them too. EDIT: Just checked, the regular LEs are 160 ohm but I guess they could still be tuned differently.- Caze

I think he's talking about these: http://www.musicaacoustics.com/wp/headphones/fa-011/ Here's also an article about them in russian: http://appleinsider.ru/obzory-zheleza/obzor-naushnikov-fischer-audio-fa-011-limited-edition-japan.html Looking at the pictures, they seem use a different...- Caze

Best Limited Edition Headphones
I also own both the LE and standard version but unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure to listen to the LCDs. My impressions of the LE vs non LE pretty much line up with Loquahs. The LEs are slightly smoother but with lots of detail and the non LEs can have a little harsh treble for some...- Caze

The tissue mod is just putting tissues beneath the cushions to make them thicker. As I don't have any extra pads I had to wash my old ones and I will be trying them today. EDIT: Listening now with my old pads and they are definetily more comfortable. Even with the tissue mod the LE pads...- Caze

My LE finally arrived today and they are indeed beautiful, though the wood is slightly darker than what I expected from the pictures. The new pads have a nice feeling to them but as they are slightly thinner and softer than the stock pads, I have the same problem with my ears pressing against...- Caze

Quote: To be honest, the cost is pretty much the same. He said that they have an agreement with their partners to not sell them for lower than they do, which I understand, but I had hoped that I could have saved a little money. The only real benefits I get out of it is that it's a lot...- Caze

Goddammit! Sorry for the language but I just found a great deal on a used pair of HD650 for almost half the price of the LE and now I can't decide which one to get... Any recommendations from those who have heard both the FA-011/FA-011 LE and the HD650? EDIT: Don't know if it makes any...- Caze

Is the headband exactly the same in the LE as in the normal version? I couldn't say for sure from the pictures but it looked like the gray ends that keep the pleather in place are plastic. Reason why I'm wondering is because one of those plastic ends just broke on my FA-011 which made me wonder...- Caze

Curse you Loquah! I own a pair of FA-011 (with black cups, coiled cable) which I've been perfectly happy with but after your review I now want the LE. No offence swarthy but you do realize that you are starting to sound like a fanboy? It's great that you like your DT1350 as much as you do but try not bash people with different opinions. Did a quick comparison and the ones in the middle look very similar to the ones that Tyll measured. I think that adds some more credibility to purrins results. Tylls pair seems also to be from the same s/n range as mine, which makes me wonder if I have channel imbalance as well. Then again, as I...- Caze
