Sony 1000x mark ii - huzzah!
Just got them. Prefer the sound on aptx HD (from the default LDAC). I've set it to aptx HD on my phone (Pixel XL) but each time i pair the headphones back, it resets back to LDAC. Any way to permanently set it to aptx HD?- bossnass15

Sony MDR-1000X
No reason to promote. We all tell it as it is since we all have used the Sony MDR-1000x (thats why we end up in this thread) and have experience with other cans. It's the same on the P7 and B&O H9 threads where comparisons with the Sony MDR-1000x, Bose qc35 headphones are being drawn (noticed...- bossnass15

Sony MDR-1000X
The P7 and P7 wireless SQ is totally different. I demoed the P7 in a shop before i bought it and left unimpressed. (They didn't have a P7 Wireless on demo and convinced me that the P7 sounds the same as the wireless one) When I got the P7 Wireless, boy it was different altogether.- bossnass15

Sony MDR-1000X
I've demoed the mdr1000x in a shop and also used my brother's mdr1000x exclusively for 2 weeks and the p7 wireless for some time and I think if sound quality is a priority, the p7 absolutely beats the mdr1000x. There were just some details, texture, layer that weren't there in some tracks I've...- bossnass15

B&O H9 Discussion and Impressions thread
I was one of the biggest complainers of the P7 headband creating discomfort on my head. After continued use of about a month, the grip has softened (or my head has hardened? lol) and i don't notice the discomfort that much anymore. I suspect it gets more comfy the longer it's worn in.- bossnass15

Sony MDR-1000X
Demoed the mdr1000x finally. Personally, the difference in sq of the p7 over the mdr1000x is too huge compared with the ANC of the mdr 1000x over the p7 for me to consider buying it.- bossnass15

Sony MDR-1000X
I'm in the same boat. Just worried it could feel like a downgrade rather than an upgrade. Couple of people are happy when going from the mdr1000x to the p7 but no stories yet of people going the other way around- bossnass15

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless - Impressions Thread
Thanks for the insight Gruss. I was tempted to get the MDR-1000x just for ANC if there's only a slight degradation in SQ. (According to this review: http://www.inquisitr.com/3593210/sony-mdr-1000x-wireless-headphones-review-and-unboxing/). For me, I'll primarily use the wireless portable...- bossnass15

I have a 500+ burned-in hour IE8 (friend's) and a 20-24ish one infront of me (Mine came back from warranty) and the difference between them is HUGE.....I'm a doubter myself at first..but after A/Bing them extensively i can guarantee you its not a fallacy..- bossnass15
