so am I regarding headphones, they go new for around $700, sometimes cheaper... converted to GBP that's around ~360, so I think you're still OK for an introductory stats setup.- HDen

Well yes you're right, they're not really nice looking headphones, but they have their 'charm'. The only 'nice' looking stats I know are the OII, which are ~$1800. I think you should really try them, right now in the FS forum there's someone selling them for real cheap, so I think that's a...- HDen

not sure, I don't think so, I think Koss has something, but I still think you should just get a 2050II, you'll get a good idea of what stats are and maybe the next thing you know you'll be buying OII and other high-end gear...- HDen

I have a Gilmore Lite LE, with D5000 with Silver Dragon recable, and I can tell you that on a lot of songs a basic Stax 2050II setup beats them. The stax has that so called "musicality", the soundstage is better, and the mids and highs are better presented. Now bear in mind that in no way...- HDen
