Is DTS actually needed in DPS chain? There doesn't seem to be any difference between DTS-MM-Dolby HP and just MM-Dolby HP with FLAC and MP3 files.- JAChichorro

Been experimenting with Matrix Mixer, surround seems more natural, less like headphones. Prefer it over Channel Mixer and FreeSurround thus far.- JAChichorro

The most beautiful headphones you know of?
Beyers DT48 and Sony MDR-V6. Wooden Grados also look nice. I have a strong dislike for the looks of Sennheiser's HD5x5, though I own a pair of HD595s. Sony's SA5000 and the similar looking ones also look awful. Ugliest cans I've ever seen are probably the Qualia.- JAChichorro

Amp/DAC for AKG K701?
What would be the best choice for the K701? I'm guessing something warmer to balance out the AKGs brightness, but I'm not too familiar with amp/DAC models. Was looking to keep it under $500, $300 if possible. Thanks for reading!- JAChichorro

Does anybody think you're insane for spending so much on headphones? (and the opposite)
All my friends... And I only have a HD595 which is not that expensive compared to the really good cans. They are used to crappy earphones that come included with media players. *sigh*- JAChichorro

Bassist lead heavy metal
It's insulting no one mentioned Death From Above 1979. They're a heavy sort of "dance punk", and it's only vocals, bass and drums, with some of the craziest bass lines ever. Check Romantic Rights and Pull Out.- JAChichorro
