What's the best "first-timer" planar magnetic to try
I hope you're right and we get to learn together about what worm headphones are. Perhaps it shall be coined our new phrase for headphones that burrow into your mind and get you addicted to planars. EDIT: As an on topic note, I think the HE-400i or 560 would be a good jumping in point. T50RP's...- MannerPylon

Haha are you the one that bought the Taurus that was posted on ebay? I'm looking to sell my Taurus right now as I have way too many amps. Too bad I didn't know you were looking as I would've beaten that price for sure.- MannerPylon

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
Just got my custom Katana's today... for my first CIEM the fit is outstanding in a way that any universal hasn't even gotten close to. According to my audiologist I've got very narrow ear canals which was probably was every universal left me sore after a few hours. The sound is pretty...- MannerPylon

I'm looking for something new.
I feel you're describing the Denon D2000/5000's, though they're long discontinued. You may be able to find a pair on the marketplace near your budget. Can't think of an in-production equivalent.- MannerPylon

Headphones for classical music ...
The HD600's are good but given the level of HPs and sound quality you're already used to you're not gonna get the "wow" that HD600/650/6xx give to others just starting their trek into hi-fi.- MannerPylon

Need small amp between iPad and HD-600s.
Almost any standard amp will work for this, though for best sound quality you really should be using line out from the ipad to bypass the built in amp.- MannerPylon

Small apartment setup. Budget. Simple.
If you set on using bluetooth from a phone, you can just buy a pair of powered speakers and attached them to a bluetooth receiver. A bluetooth audio receiver will run you about $20 and you can use the rest of the money on a nice sets of active speakers.- MannerPylon

Need some help for a new UIEM
I would recommend you look into the AAW W500. I've never heard them personally but people rave non-stop about the bass on those. EDIT: Oops, forget you said you wanted universals. Hmmmm, are wanting bass emphasis in terms of sound signature or do you just have a minimum bar at which is needs...- MannerPylon

Choosing 3.5mm Interconnects on a Budget
At this price range I doubt you'd really notice a difference. All you're looking for is a good, solid connection and pick the connector that won't put as much strain on the cable.- MannerPylon

Cable Between DAC and Amp
No problem. Keep an eye on ebay. I got mine in the mid-high 100s if I remember correctly as a studio was selling it as they didn't need it anymore.- MannerPylon
