Sony NW-A50 Series
I made this upgrade recently.. I bought the A55 and it is a day and night difference with my aging A17. Better sound, better build and better battery as my A17 was losing battery life since its so old. The Bluetooth streaming feature is also a game changer. Forget the 45 and go for the 55 and...- krayziehustler

NCM (Nguyen Custom Monitors) - Universal/Custom
Which one would be the best for first time CIEM and hiphop/jazz/soft rock? I would be using my Ear Studio Bluetooth adapter and Sony nw-a55 as the source. Thanks- krayziehustler

Yup. The T51ps also isolate much much better than the Sony's making them better for commuting purposes. They also leak very little sound which is something that even expensive closed backs fail to do- krayziehustler

Thanks for that. On a side note, do you have the new B&W P5 Series 2 on your radar by any change? They seem to have improved allot over the previous model. I would love to read your take on those if at all possible.- krayziehustler

I own the X5 and the A17 and imo you will not be sacrificing sound quality. The A17 sounds much better to me. Since the headphones you chose are pretty easy to drive you don't really need the power of the X5 either.- krayziehustler

Just tried the Momentum Ver 2 on ear and I was not impressed at all. They leak sound like nobody's business. I listen to them on 20/30 on my Sony A17 and my wife could hear every word. On that same volume my wife can't hear a thing from my T51Ps. The sound was also not up par compared to the...- krayziehustler

New supraaural headphones from Thinksound: On1.
Have you tried this yourself? DO you have a pic? I love Sennheiser cups and this would be great for me since i found the ear cups to be a bit uncomfortable on the On1s.- krayziehustler

I absolutely loved my J3. It was a great player with excellant battery. I find the A17 to be the spiritual successor to the J3. It does sounds much better than the J3 with the added benefit that it plays Hi-Res files that the J3 can't play. Believe me it is an upgrade. The only thing i miss...- krayziehustler

My only wish is that the A17 had a way of managing the levels of L/R where you can lower the volume on one side. Only feature missing imo- krayziehustler

That's what I did and never looked back. With ClearBass on the Sony has much better bass with the 325 than the X5. I like it.- krayziehustler

The mids sound better and stand out more on the T51P and the treble is just as MH described. The On1 is a more neutral headphone so that is the way the treble leans.- krayziehustler
