Fubar II, in grey
Hi chych You can drop most of the dual opamps in the Fubar. Some popular op-rolling candidates are AD823, AD827, AD797 (single op), LT1122 (single op), LT1361…etc. If you want to use single OPAMPs like the AD797, LT1122 or SOIC ones like the AD8260, you will need an adaptor. There are two...- J@ck

Firestone Spitfire owners
Hi smeggy The Spitfire is using Toslink cable. I seldom seen 90 degree Toslink cables, but you can find the straight normal ones in almost every decent audio shop.- J@ck

My speaker quest continued - Heard some Martin Logans and JMLabs
I really like the VS VR4 jr. This is one of the top speakers I really like under $4K or so. If you like bass and have a big room, the VR4 sr. might be even better. http://www.vonschweikert.com/vr4jr.html -

Athena AS-B1 and T-AMP Fatiguing?
How big is your space? Have you changed the power supply of the t-amp? Is this the $20 sonic impact we are talking about or the newer ~$100 "super t-amp"? From what you are saying, I feel the T-amp doesn't have enough power for your use.- J@ck

Cute x 3 = Adorable!
Hi luukas 1) It will depend on the design of the DAC, usually you won't "feel" the delay. But with some buffer design like the Chord DAC64, there is a 2~3 secs delay if you choose the mode. 2) In this case, I would suggest you take the COAX cable solution. A good 6 meter long optical cable...- J@ck
