That's interesting you like the DAC64 since you don't like DAC1. To me they are polar opposites in sound. I like neither

I appreciate all kinds of sound as long as they are nice.

I like the fullness and the smooth yet detailed characteristics. The soundstage on my Magnepan is not overly huge but tight. It got a “Hi-Fi glowing” kind of sound compare to those studio DACs.
I have been changing DACs like crazy earlier this year, and the DAC64 was the only unit my girlfriend noticed a difference.
She said, “hmmm, this is kinda nice.”
