ok here is what is going on
i am building a megaphone
i have an automotive 6x9 speaker mounted into a cone
i need an amp powerful enough to push the speaker
quality is not needed at all
i just need loud, portable and cheap

Try one of those Tripath powered T-amps. They put out some good power and are very efficient.
