    Excellent, thank you.

Why doesn't anybody like the Denon AH-D600

Anyone compared these to the AHD1100? I love the 1100s, but they’re discontinued and not of the most sturdy build. Thinking about upgrading.

    Denon AHD1100 to AHD600 - significant upgrade?

Hi everyone.   A while ago I fell in love with the Denon AHD110. I’ve been through a million sets of headphones and these are my favourite. Unfortunately, they’re not the most durable phones, and they’re now discontinued by Denon.    I’ve been reading a lot about the Denon AHD600 and...

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

Nope, just in a bubble wrap envelope. My fault for ordering from eBay I guess. It seems like a perfectly suitable cable and the sound isn't much different, just annoying at the reason I ordered a new one was because the memory wire in the old one broke. I've ordered one from the official UE site...

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

I might be really behind on this but when did they get rid of the memory wire in the cables? I just got a new cable in the post today (one of the straight-jack ones) to replace the L-shaped old one that finally broke and it doesn't have it.    Now I have to learn a whole new way of putting...

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

I think I've posted about it in here before (it's a long thread) but I've never really had any problems with the stock cables, they last for ages and I'm pretty rough with them.

Bassy headphones for unamped ipod classic?

Denon D1100 are very bassy without sacrificing overall sound quality and detail, I use them straight out of my Macbook, I haven't felt the need to get an amp. Isolation is pretty good, I've missed people knocking on my door while I'm wearing them, although I've never ventured outside with them on.

Do you use your good IEMs on the go?

I've been almost constantly using my TF10's on the go for the four or five years I've had them - walking places and trains mostly. I try and use the carry case for them when I can just in case but I do wind them around my iPod and stuff them in my bag or pocket more than I should. The paint is...

Headphones with the Best Bass, Soundstage, UNAMPED?

If you're looking for bass and no amping I'd recommend the Denon D1100. I've been in love with my pair for about two years.

    Denon ah-d1001 and Denon ah-d1100

If you want something more neutral then the 1001 is certainly the way to go. They were a bit too flat for me but still pretty decent headphones.

    Denon ah-d1001 and Denon ah-d1100

I upgraded from the D1001 to the D1100 and I thought it was a vast improvement. Fuller sound (maybe because of the emphasis on bass) and less harsh/sibilant which I found the 1001's to be at times.    They're tighter and isolate a bit better too if that matters to you at all.

    WORST headphone you ever heard?

Quote: Any reasons? I don't want to cause a derail but I'm really curious because I have a pair of these and I love them. I'd be interested to hear from someone who hates them.    The worst I've heard is probably the XB500's. I only listened to them for a couple of hours because I...

    IEMs as main headphones

For a long time my Triple.fi 10's were my main headphones. Honestly any of the top-tier IEM's could serve perfectly well as main headphones - TF10's, SE535, IE8 or any of the others.    If you want them to sound closer to a set of full-sized cans you might want to invest in a small USB...

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

It seems to be impossible to get a replacement cable for the tf10s in the UK at the moment. None of the proper channels seem to have them - can't find one on Amazon at all. I ordered one from China on ebay and they wouldn't actually fit properly into the headphones. I had to practically force...

    SE 535 BROKEN NOZZLE

This was one of the major problems I had with the SE530's when I bought them. I mean the sound wasn't for me either, but the impossibility presented by trying the other tips really put me off keeping them for very long too. Why on earth have they been designed to fit so tight?

    Portable cans for girlfriend

My girlfriend has tiny ears. Not just tiny, but oddly shaped. This means that she has a hard time getting a good fit with most iem's, even the Q-Jays.    I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for some fairly compact, decent circumaural headphones. Budget would be up to £100, I'd...

    Inexpensive big bass Headphones

I had the XB500's for a (very short) while. The bass was indeed huge but basically drowned out absolutely everything else. I wouldn't recommend them unless bass is literally all you want to hear. They also had this weird pressure thing going on that gave me a horrible sickly headache after...

    HELP! Closed Headphones under $100

I've had a pair of JVC RX700's for a while now and have been really happy with them. They cost £30 ($44ish) and I haven't found fault with them so far. Don't really need an amp or DAC either (I run them off a simple hotaudio USB dac). This is coming from someone who has owned Sennheiser...

    MDR-XB500 (or) HA-RX900

Depends what kind of music you like, and for these headphones just how much bass you want. I had a pair of XB500's and now I have a pair of HA-RX700's and I VASTLY prefer the RX700's. The XB500's were all bass and nothing else, so much so that they ended up giving me a splitting headache...

JVC HAR-X700 and 900. Two of the best dynamics? Am I nuts?

This has probably been asked a million times by now, but this is a long thread. Which out of the RX700 and RX900 would be good for someone who has a real problem with harshness/sibilance? If either of them would be any good that is. I mean a real problem, I'm selling my D1001's because I find...

does Ultimate ears triple fi 10 need amp?

I've tried my triple.fi's with an Graham Slee Voyager, an RSA Predator and a UHA 3 over the two years that I've been using them and I've always ended up selling them amp and just using them straight from my iPod. Whenever I've used them with an amp they've always sounded over-driven to me...

    Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!

This thread is making me miss my D5000's. How much of a step-down are the 2000's from the 5's? Some of what I've read suggests that the 2k's are darker or more veiled than the 5k's, which might be good for me because sometimes the sibilance was a bit of a problem. But then some other people say...

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

What's the issue everyone seems to have with the stock cables? I got my TF10's in 2007 before logitec bought UE so I've had a few of the old cables and a couple of the newer straight-jack ones and never really had a problem with either.
