Hello everyone ..

I want to buy a new headphone, but I really don't know which one of these is better ?

I need the headphone for music only, so would you like to give me your opinion ?

And I don't mind if there any headphone better than these, but it should be less than $57

Depends what kind of music you like, and for these headphones just how much bass you want.

I had a pair of XB500's and now I have a pair of HA-RX700's and I VASTLY prefer the RX700's. The XB500's were all bass and nothing else, so much so that they ended up giving me a splitting headache, and I'm a bit of a basshead, so my instinct tells me you might want to go for the RX900's. Or maybe even save a bit of money and go for the 700's, I've got no complaints about them at all.

I own both the XB700 and RX900. XB700 definitely sounds great for house, techno, dance, trance, electronic, etc.

The XB500 is extremely bass forward which IMO needs correcting with EQ, once done however it's a pretty nice headphone, still focused towards bass-heavy recording. The RX700 however is much more balanced, it still has bass and hit's quite hard... it's a good all-rounder really. I would recommend the RX700 over the RX900.

I have the RX700, which has cheaper vynil pads. It get's warm, but not uncomfortably so. I would assume leather is a bit warmer, but probably not much. However, you are comparing them to the XB500. Have you seen the size of those pads? When I was doing research on them, I read the XB series as a whole can get very warm. Much more complaints about that on the XB side than on the RX one.

The RX900 is a bassier and muddier RX700 by most accounts. The 700 is a great value and I would fully recommend them. You just need to do a very simply mod and allow them to burn in.

According to the Apple Store, the XB500 cord length is 1.2 meters, or about 4 feet. The RX700 and 900 have really long cables at 11 ft. Very inconvenient for at-home usage, inconvenient to be on the go.

I will add to what others have said; the XB500 is meant for bassheads. If you listen to a lot of bassy music and/or appreciate ridiculous amounts of bass, then they're the can for you. If you want something much more refined and better all around, then I recommend the RX700.

On a side note, the RX700 is made in Japan, whereas the XB700 is made in Thailand. There's a quality difference, most likely.

I decided to buy the RX headphone,
but, just a little question ..

What's the difference between RX700 and RX900 ?
I can buy anyone but if there's no difference, of course I'll buy the cheap one

I bought the RX700 based on a review of both that said the RX700 were more detailed and suited for music while the RX900 had a larger soundstage and worked better for gaming. You can however mod the ear pads (which is completely reversible) to improve the 700s into a very fine sounding headphone; one of my favorites under $200!

The 900s are semi-open which means they will leak sound.

While on the topic, I like the RX700 but can't deal with 11 feet of cord, how difficult would it be to shorten or replace all together?
