Sixth Head-Fi Sydney Meet: Sunday 26th October
Oh no, am I too late to express interest in this meet? =P I should be able to add an AKG sextett to that list +/- Darkvoice 336i. I'd really like to hear some USB DACs - thinking of upgrading the Musiland that I have now.- tz3ling

The Fifth Head-Fi Sydney Meet - Saturday 21st June
I'm in! No new equipment since last year though. I could probably bring my Musiland MD10 and AKG K340. The Darkvoice is a tad troublesome to move around so I guess I'll leave that at home- tz3ling

Upgrading mz Grado SR60 to Audio Technica AD900 - need some help
I upgraded to AT AD900 from SR60 last year. It should serve your needs pretty well, considering your music preferences. Bass is tight and punchy, goes lower, and overall better than SR60. You could also consider Alessandro MS2i in that price range.- tz3ling

Recommend me violin albums
Hey guys, I've been looking around for a well-recorded/remastered album with a great (if not best) violinist... Classical (concerto/sonata/chamber) or Jazz is fine. Any recommendations? I'm also thinking of getting a few of those Joshua Bell albums (romance of the violin, gershwin fantasy... -

Pre-Buy AD 700 Questions
I have the AD900s and sometimes run them out of my HP IPaq Rx5900. They perform pretty well without an amp, a good all-rounder headphone for different genres of music. When amped, they sound slightly better (eg. the brass in horns come out when i pass it through my tube amp), the difference is...- tz3ling

Buying AKG K701 in Australia?
Oh... where did they move to? I think they do headphones, Stax and Sennheiser if I'm right, but I don't know whether they stock them. There's another one on York St CBD, Quality Hi-Fi, they stock AKG and Sennheiser but not the higher end open ones (no K701, HD650, etc). Hope that helps.- tz3ling
