Don't wash your Shure's black foamies in cold water!!
I made a mistake of washing (read: drowning) my shure black foamies in freezing cold water and now it won't compressed anymore. It expands way too quickly (faster than I can say poop) and the rubber has somewhat becomes well...too elastic and won't fit in my ears. I stored them with drying agent...- verticalforce

Help...Lost & Confused...Please Help Me Choose A Good IEM!
All three are the exact same thing except you get a couple new accessory and the black foamies with SE530 and SE530PTH. The one that has PTH (e500pth and se530 pth) well... has the PTH module, a gadget-like mic that lets you hear outside surrounding while you are wearing the IEM. You are...- verticalforce

E500 mod question
I hate E500's cable, it's way too thick for its own good and just look and feel bulky to use. Anyone know where can I get extension cable that is durable and lighter?- verticalforce

Is it just me or apple buds sound really good?
I can dance like the itunes advert and the buds will still sit in place - awesome, it's like this bud is custom made for my ears... The bass is plenty IMO, very muddy with no tactile feeling. Can I ask something? For straight jack connector, are you supposed to twist them before you remove...- verticalforce

Help...Lost & Confused...Please Help Me Choose A Good IEM!
Get westone 3 or e500 and save the headache of upgrading. Or just get UE 10 PRO if you don;t mind custom. ER4P/S works too if you don't mind clinically accurate sounds.- verticalforce

Is it just me or apple buds sound really good?
Zacorias, the opposite applies to me. This is the only earbud that I had ever tried that actually fit in my ear. I guess it's weird like that. If you have a perfect fit, then only can you appreciate the quality of this bud. (compare to other stock buds) It's a bit like IEM, really.- verticalforce

Is it just me or apple buds sound really good?
And to think that Apple charged this ibuds 19 quids (38 dollars) if you buy it seperately... *shakes head* I would probably buy one just because it fits so well in my ear.- verticalforce

Is it just me or apple buds sound really good?
Mainstream pop sounds quite good IMO, mid-range is not bad at all. Who the **** listened to classical using ibud... :P this stuff is for your mainstream, sub par recording kind of sound.- verticalforce

Is it just me or apple buds sound really good?
My brain must have gone wonky or something since it's nearing the exam, but i bought a shuffle, which is coincidentally my first ipod and I thought that the new earbud is pretty darn good. This is coming from a Shure E500 owner as well. It's no match for the E500, obviously, but for casual...- verticalforce

2nd gen Shuffle static noise
Bought a new green shuffle today and it hisses like hell with my Shure E500. No hiss with Apple stock earbud. Problem solved with the use of volume attenuator, but it adds bulk to the cable.- verticalforce

Excellent Shure UK service.
I emailed Shure yesterday about my Shure E500 extension cable (the 91 cm one) since it's behaving rather weird and produced muffle sounds at the slightest motion or contact.... and to my surprise, a nice lady from Shure said that she'll send a new one to me, no receipt or return of the old...- verticalforce

E500 remorse?!
Give them some time. It gets better when you are used to the sound signature. There's no burn-in, but for me, it really feels like there is one, LOL. Black foamies help tremendously too. Shure E500 is my first 'real' headphone too. My next quest is the amp, yes!! hehe- verticalforce
