Have a friend that sprays lacquer paint professionally, wondering if the Wadia 170iTransport case can be easily removed and given a lacquer paint job....Thought i read somewhere that Wadia has these boxes preped already for paint...Any thoughts Thanks Marc

I have the Alps RK50 pot in my 2007 Max Dac (same one in my sig).... also have 2001 Max with Stepped Att, they both are great amps I see much better control with the RK50 potentiometer, the stepped att sometimes can be a bit noisy I guess being spoiled by the RK50 pots sliky smooth response for...

Well it's been 300hrs heavy burn it ...Last PM sat down with them for a substantial listening session .... Very impressed tonal balance is excellent, soundsatge has good depth not to overwhelming ...highs are very fluent, precise...The bass speaks for itself the interior dampening is the secret...

Right out of the box sounded very comanding PUNCHY through my Headroom Amp....Burning 49hrs now.... Just took them for another run and boy these have an opulance of there own spacious warm smooth highs punchy (when called upon ie Limelight Rush early drum line blew me away!!), near total bliss...

I use Marine heatshrink extreme quality high adhesive interior, may be too tough for yor application... but y-splits may serve you perfect..

Much like going up in a plane you have a pressure feeling in your ears, this is commonly called barometric ears! I have this same problem on ocassion especially when the barometric pressure in your region changes ...NOT necessarly indirectly from the headphones but it will iratate it at...

Any thought on ATH-W1000 with this mod, does it apply, have a pair anyone try it out as of yet.... would need a bit more on pad removel though not familier on it's pad removal...courious...Thanks all have a happy and prosperous coming year
