[New] Philips Fidelio X1
I went through the Daft Punk phase when the the album first dropped. Do yourself a favor and get a lossless copy of it, these cans will blow you away. Turn it up and just drift away. Side note: Anyone recommend any IEM's that have similar characteristics to the X1's. Unhappy with my...- rcoolb2002

DAC/Amp for Fidelio X1: Ratings and Recommendations Compilation Thread
I just wanted to add the comment that my ratings are based on a scale that only contains the x-1 IE: 10 on my scale is what I think is the best possible sound from a x-1 I noticed some people using this survey to place the x-1 on a scale with audio minerva or other combos compared. It...- rcoolb2002

[New] Philips Fidelio X1
Incidentally I have both. I'm not very good at the comparative words, but I havent put my FA-011's on since the X1's arrived. Its a similar sound, but better on every level if that makes sense. Possibly just a bit warmer and closer feeling than the FA-011- rcoolb2002

[New] Philips Fidelio X1
Wooo got them now!! I am blown away by the packaging and quality of build. These things are simply gorgeous. Initial impression compared to my FA-011 is that they are warmer, have more tamed highs, and a bit more mid-bass hump, but doesnt extend quite as low as the FA-011. Quite a bit...- rcoolb2002

REVIEW: Fischer Audio FA-011 - OFF THE DEEP END!!
So according to this I have the 2nd batch. Are the drivers actually different from the first batch? Or do you attribute the differences to the cable, or something else.- rcoolb2002

[New] Philips Fidelio X1
Thanks for the reply!! I'll give that a try when they get here. Edit: I think I read it before, but high output impedance + high impedance cans = better? So with most of my low impedance cans I will hear a difference from using the e17 output?- rcoolb2002

REVIEW: Fischer Audio FA-011 - OFF THE DEEP END!!
I can't really compare to other amp setups, but I am using Fiio e17/e09k with mine and it definitely helped control the highs and deliver the bass. I won't listen to FA-011's from anything else, I'll grab a different set of cans first. Why do you assume Airforce... because he has...- rcoolb2002

[New] Philips Fidelio X1
Well I just picked up a X1 from forum member due to LME's recommendation to potentially replace my FA-011's. Right now I am using e17/e09k. Anyone use this combo with them? Been tossing around the idea of MM stack since I've used the "portable" e17 exactly 0 times.- rcoolb2002

Sony MDR MA900 Impressions Thread
Thanks for the comparo to the FA-011. If you think it is a hard decision, then I would probably be dissapointed in the extra cost right now. I will continue my other search for a GREAT closed can.- rcoolb2002

Sony MDR MA900 Impressions Thread
Anyone here have any experience with the fischer FA-011? I currently have them and enjoy the "open" sound, but constantly find myself grabbing my senn HD428, because they are more comfortable. I would be looking to replace the FA-011 with a similar sound signature.- rcoolb2002

Imagine you could choose only one!
Right now....... QC15's (All around the most useful/comfortable headphones for the long haul) ... but wait is there a shortage of batteries....guess that point is moot since everything requires electricity eventually E17/E09k Computer of course....- rcoolb2002
