i used a hair dryer, and some brute force, obviously be careful not to get the rotational axis of the cups too off axis as you remove them,...ie jar them.... ps be careful when soldering the contacts...i think i managed to blow the drivers some how...with too much heat.   orfeo

hi, i want to take the filters out of my etymotic er6's but i don't have the tool. I know that you can pop the filters out of the er6i's with your fingernail but it doesn't seem possible with the er6's. Does anyone know of a make shift way? thanks orfeo

hey dakota, i've got the same problem from what i've found it should be a filter problem, if you've got the er6i's then u can pop the filter out and clean it in window cleaner (apparantly). To make sure it is the filter you should swap the filters in the other channel and see if the problem...
