Hi,

I recently got some Grado 325s and while i love them i find that the earpieces aren't all that crash hot. After a few hours of use my ears start getting sore. Perhaps this is a good reason to take a break but i'd like them to fit better.

Are there any mods on the ear pads? to the high model grado's come with larger pads? i feel like the pads just need to be a bit bigger to give my ears more room in there. At the moment the outer tips of my ears are squashed down a bit.

thanks

You can go and buy the "bagel pads" that normally sell with the GS1000's, here's a link for headroom:

You can also buy c-pads from headphile.com, all the way at the bottom of the page

You can also try adjusting the headphones to angle with your ears. Rather than having the pads point perpendicular to the side of your head, they just rest at a slight angle so they rest on your ears rather than pushing them. Although I will admit that this is much more difficult to do with the metal grados, the plastic ones and wooden ones are much lighter and seem to just rest on your ears more than the metal ones.

You can also look into stretching the grado headband so that instead of a horseshoe shape, you have a wide U ==> |__|  which would reduce the pressure to your head.

good luck mate
