I think headphones like these will introduce audiophillia to many more teenagers who would otherwise struggle to find similar headphones, i.e. Shure. So they can fit in with Skullcandy styling whilst actually still getting pretty good audio, which will tempt them to move onwards and upwards...

Just a heads up, grado's are renowned for their brilliance with rock music, I personally don't find comfort an issue, but i recommend you just force them to work with other pad types such as G or L cushions.   oh by the way, welcome to head-fi and sorry 'bout your wallet

sorry for the simplicity of my answer here but my SR-80's dropped the left ear-cup at the same spot yours has about 6 months ago, i superglued it back on and it hasn't budged since. might be a little cheap fix for a pair of GS1000 but so long as your put enough on it will NOT move.

i just picked up a pair of these this week,  apparently they have 2 speakers per earcup, a 30mm tweeter and a.................wait for it.................  90mm subwoofer may need a bigger amp to actually get these to work
