Just FYI, TeraLink X2 ASIO driver supports SMK-II USB and the driver is publicly available. Just Google it.- erjifan

Hi David, can you upload some pictures of the mod version at ebay? At least, you should let us know which seller is selling the mod version. Quote:- erjifan

I set my DI for upsampling to 96khz. I also have my Windows sound setup as 2ch 16bit 44.1khz by default. Hope you can replicate what I do and get same result. My DI is playing one of my 24bit-88khz albums now. Quote:- erjifan

DI can certainly support 24bit 88.2khz files if you change the output of Foobar2k to be ASIO. Just in case, if you don't have an ASIO driver, you can use the following one. http://cid-1eb7027489224a7d.office.live.com/browse.aspx/Teralink-X2%20ASIO%20driver%20%5E50.9%20beta%5E6 I have...- erjifan

That just doesn't seems right to me. Even with my DT990 (600ohm), I can never stand the sound volumn after 12:00 with low gain and single end. Quote:- erjifan

I have NFB10ES and use low gain (+0db) for my HD600. I assume the amp sections of both ES and WM are identical. With low gain, I turned the volumn control knob to 10-11 o'clock when I drove my HD600 single end and now 9-10 o'clock with balanced cable. Quote:- erjifan

When I sent email to Kingwa in Jan, he said the only device with USB from AGD using asynchronous process is DI. None of the DAC with USB has async.- erjifan

Audio-gd NFB-10
Quote: NFB10 really gives my HD600 (purchased used from the forum) second life. I have ballanced HD600 cable to hook up them. I wouldn't worry too much about pairing HD650 with NFB10, especially ballanced.- erjifan

I don't see anything wrong with switching from headphone to dac on the fly. At least, this is exactly what I have been doing. Certainly you can use both balanced and SE outputs. The only problem is you have one volumn control for both of them. I can't use them at the same time because my...- erjifan

I just want to say "EMS is FAST!" (sorry, Edwin) My DI was shipped on Feb. 11 from China and reveived today in NY. To someone in US who wants to buy DI from Audio gd, you can use EMS to save some shipping cost.- erjifan

Recommend DAC/AMP or DAC+AMP to an Audeze LCD-2??
Audio-gd NFB-10 (either WM or ES) works well with LCD-2. Some reports can be found here: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/519166/audio-gd-nfb-10/435 Quote:- erjifan

Amp placement near LCD monitor?
Nothing would happen. Don't worry. There is a good reason why these gears get thick metal boxes.- erjifan

Audio-GD C-2.1 A bit confused.....
I guess what Kingwa meant is that REF5 is a fully balanced DAC but C-2.1 is not balanced and you should be much better off if you pair fully balanced gears. C-2.1 certainly works well with REF5 but you just can't take full advantage of REF5 by using C-2.1. Hope I'm making sense here. Quote:- erjifan

Beyerdynamic DT880 600 Ohm : Price increase?
Yeah, the price does increase quite a bit. I would recommend AKG K702 but the downside is K702 needs a good amp (so does DT880-600).- erjifan

The other one under the DSP-3 board is to control the USB process. I don't know if the module is soldered or socketed since I haven't received my DI. You can certainly benefit from upgrading that one too (if you can). Quote:- erjifan
