It takes time. The balanced sound of the W4 doesn't stand out much, and i can say that i was pretty disappointed with them coming from a cheap, yet much more fun Meelectronics M11+. Over time though, i grew to love the W4's.   Quote:

I had bought a W4 for a couple of days now, and love the sound. Using the provided clear sleeves, excellent fit and sound. Totally balanced, with just enough bass for my taste. Non fatiguing as well. I could listen to it for hours.

Generally, a portable amp cannot be considered *worth it*. You would generally get better value for money investing that $100 into a better IEM than the RE0. I strongly suggest getting the Fuze instead of the Clip+, while i love mine, navigating 100s of songs on the clip+ small screen is a pain.
