    Verum 1 Mk 2 : mini-review

^^ I'll second this statement. At the time of the ownership I just couldn't wrap my head at numerus posts claiming that they can be powered with almost anything. They can go loud but everything else takes a backseat.

Focal Clear Mg Review & Measurements

Focal Mg's don't need excessive current nor voltage to keep dynamic pace, it's one of their best qualities. Of course there is tone/voicing, layering, details, soundstaging and other abilities of the amps that can influence perception of the sound.

    Focal Utopia General Discussion

Just for kicks, did anyone try Utopia with Shortest Way 51 amp ? I'm using Elex with it, stock tubes and I'm pretty surprised in a positive way since amp is a bit leaner. On "paper" they should be a terrible match....

Focal Clear vs Clear MG sound comparison.

I have Elex and Mg an they are way more complementary than similar that's for sure. Mg is very forcefull. Snare hits are just pure pleasure, which many headphones and speakers fail miserably and sound like brocken toothpicks.

Massdrop x Focal Elex Review & Measurements

I've been toying with my new amp sw51 ( with stock tubes ) and I must say it kicked Elex talents regarding imaging an layering to a whole new level, I'm impressed :)

    Meze Audio 109 Pro

Didn't see both measurements on a same rig, but to me it looks like the Ananda Stealth has pretty dominant peak around 6-7k. And there is QC and sample variations too (Hifiman?)

    Apos Caspian Open-Back Headphone Giveaway

It should have been "classics" in the name as well, because it sure does looks so, nice.

    Hifiman Ananda Stealth Magnet Version

It all sounds promising, just one more thing, are they easier to drive then Ananda OG since their counterpart Arya Stealth version is somewhat easier on the amp? Thx

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I did some digging and does apple really adds proprietary DSP, or is this another fine example of apple BS marketing (?) AAC is just another codec, it's not magic.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

This is one chunky thread so maybe I'm repeating the question. Owner of the Galaxy Buds Plus, and when using my Mac M1 as a source which is not often I can detect difference to the better as compared to my Android phone ( AAC as well). Without going into details the 'phones sound feels bigger...

    Meze Audio 109 Pro

Absolute valid point. My theory is that a $4999 headphone is better sounding that some other $4999 (or similar) headphone and therefore a better value and worth the cost.

Focal Clear Mg Review & Measurements

I'll check it out. It's a classic, as far as I'm concerned. Have it in my car for late rides, it's a great album top to bottom. Have seen him live on festival in a fortress, good times. You hit the nail on the head. Mg just envelops you with outstanding imaging and bass response. What is even...

Focal Clear Mg Review & Measurements

I'm noticing more and more that Mg is one heck of a 'phone for electronic music just as well. Listening to Boris Brejcha Space Diver and Mg is truly ripping trough those beats. And when good synth drops in it's just, yeah baby that's what I was looking for.

Focal Clear Mg Review & Measurements

Just to add that the clamp of the new mg's is pretty strong at the start. They get streched over time. Why I'm mentioning this, because the mg's (and elex as well) change their signature dependable of the driver - ear distance. Elear does not exhibit such changes which leads me to believe it's...

    Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!

What a nice share ! I did a quick leveled comparison , by the ear though and the change is significant, to the better of course. Love to see the thread still kick'n and superb support by the users from mechanical to sound releated stand points. Cheers to all present and future owners :beerchug:

Just look at that bass curve, which is obvious. This is not a "neutral" headphone.

Had my AKG K702's for more than a decade, never had the problem with the elastic band and it has seen plenty of usage.
