so the clear pro is leaner than the OG clear?
have read 'identical voicing' reports up until now..

True.is this true??
I know the feeling man, they really all have different reasons to enjoy them. I’m pretty content with cans and amps/dacs for now and just enjoying time with the music!Joining the Clear MG club again soon. I had them previously and I remember really loving their sound so much and finding them super enjoyable to listen to.
Have had them on my mind for awhile now but was hemming and hawing over it till I finally decided to grab them.
Interested to see how they fit in with my current line up which are my solidified favorites.
These were really the only headphones that I had on my mind, very satisfied with my collection as it is - but this kind of just nails it right in.
Yes it’s true, I copy / pasted the exact email I got back from Focal. I understand there were a few different viewpoints on this, probably more with the OG variants. I wanted to share it for anyone on the fence about which MG they have!is this true??

I have mine amplified by a Topping DX3 Pro+.. am I missing out on much?Singxer SA-1, has enough volume to stay comfortably in low gain in balanced. Sounds very good, MGs definitely scale very dramatically with different amplification.
Lol, as Jeremy Clarkson sayshttps://www.head-fi.org/threads/focal-clear-headphones.861727/page-478#post-15664175

At this stage I don't believe it actually is true...
Focal Mg's don't need excessive current nor voltage to keep dynamic pace, it's one of their best qualities. Of course there is tone/voicing, layering, details, soundstaging and other abilities of the amps that can influence perception of the sound.I have mine amplified by a Topping DX3 Pro+.. am I missing out on much?
Something that doesn't get said enough is just how dodgy the plastic headband is. My DT770 has a metal headband and is replaceable. Everyone goes on about the build quality of these but come on. Their customer service also sucks. They never engage with their retail customers and have no presence anywhere in any audio forums.Something that doesn’t get said enough about the MG is how well it scales up when used with TOTL gear.
My biggest issue with the MG is the weight. Even with Dekoni nuggets, there's a lot of pressure on top after about an hour...the price paid for good sound.Something that doesn't get said enough is just how dodgy the plastic headband is. I love the sound but worry every time I have to stretch the headband to put them on. Feels like one day it will just let go and snap.
