Maybe if you don't have a tray you don't need a mat, so it doesn't feel like a benefit to me but rather proof something is wrong.Funny. When I a/b-ed the Audiolab 6000CDT and the Cambridge Audio CXC v.2, one point of preference (for me) was the CXC's tray loader (allowing useage of a good CD mat).
• The flip side () of the slot loader vs tray loader is that the tray itself could be a source of, or vulnerable to, vibration.
• As always, implementation is critical.
