Mojito!
I thought this thread was about Edwood's dog. I'm more of a beer drinker, Stella, Guiness, Boddington's... I like making my own bloody mary's though. Celery salt, worces... umm that black stuff, tabasco, tomato juice, a little horseradish, and top it off with a celery stick.- hongda

Electrical Engineering in the audio business?
Electrical Engineering in the U.S. is a fairly broad field, but there are specialties that will focus more on audio. If in doubt talk to the professors. Main areas to look for Analog Design: Things such as amplifiers, pre-amps, buffers etc. How to design the circuit, how to lay it out, how...- hongda

muscle soreness
Lactic acid is used as a fuel. Dr. Brooks and his UC Berkeley colleagues found that muscle cells use carbohydrates anaerobically for energy, producing lactate as a byproduct, but then burn the lactate with oxygen to create far more energy. The first process, called the glycolytic pathway...- hongda

What supplement do you recommend for lifting weights?
If you do take creatine, make sure you look into it carefully. If you aren't on a set schedule of on and off periods your body can build a dependence on it. If it's the drive, maybe find a workout partner. It helps immensely if you know somebody is meeting you there instead of "no one will...- hongda

why america is fat
Part of the issue is that a serving size isn't supposed to constitute a meal. Take the Mac and Cheese for an example. It's supposed to be a side with (usually) a main protein (grilled chicken) and a carb (rice or bread) finish that off and you'll probably be full. I noticed that while I was...- hongda

Intel Quad core launches on November 2nd
Individual software isn't optimized for multiple cores yet, but if you run multiple programs concurrently, your better off with multiple cores. Easy explanation of a core, is more or less the brain of a computer. More brains, the more things you can run at the same time. But if you don't...- hongda

Obesity - Is it a huge health problem? Maybe not...
I would also like to mention that being "rounder" is a little bit more prevalent in females at an older age due to maternity. Once a lady has a child, a lot of times the metabolism will change drastically in addition to the lifestyle changes that a child brings along. Not to say it's not...- hongda

Gym Etiquette - Why Don't People Re-Rack?

Obesity - Is it a huge health problem? Maybe not...
The issue is just mislabeled as Obesity Epidemic. It's more like an issue with inactivity. Combine this with unhealthy eating habits (high calorie, poor nutrition) and this GENERALLY leads to obesity. It doesn't mean all obese people are unhealthy or non-obese people are healthy.- hongda
