Bump.

As I said in my post, I don't want to pay for a cable. I'm looking for an adapter.

In anticipation of receiving my KICAS Caliente, I bought a pair of BJC RCA interconnects from a fellow Headfier. Unfortunately, my dumb ass did not realize that the outputs on my EMU 0404 are 1/4. Oops. Anyways, I'm looking to get another DAC soon, perhaps the VALAB NOS DAC, but in the meantime...

Very first impression, more to come (though I'm crap at describing sound): My biggest issue with the HD650s was the 'veil', especially the stuffiness on harder rock music. Before burn in, it seems like that veil is GONE. I was previously using the E-MU 0404 built in headamp.

Did you try clipping it into place without the foam pad? The pad sort of folds down into the crevice and might be preventing the earcup from sticking. Obviously this would just be a diagnostic, unless you prefer the sound sans foam.
