What's the point of buying a costly DAP if you're just going to use it as transport?

Should I try a Sophia 274B mesh for a different sound than the Brimar or go for another Mullard? Can't get over the pics of those meshes in the dark.

Just got my WA22 and the first rectifier I threw in there was a Mullard GZ32, listened to a couple songs and then the WA22 shuts off and won't turn back on. Blew a fuse. After getting new fuses, put in stock tubes to troubleshoot and sure enough I have a bad Mullard. I doubt the eBay seller will...

I'm glad they are doing this because it might deter other companies from going into this price range when it undoubtedly falls flat on it's face.

I was wondering the same thing when I read that. Even though I own a pair of Paradigm Studio 100's the necessary equipment needed and room treatments are just too costly for 2 channel audio. Good luck finding reasonablely priced tube amps to drive towers not to mention things like room...

My level 1 was delivered over a week ago and I ordered during their black Friday deal. Just haven't been home since. After I ordered it I kind of wish I would have spent the extra on the level 3. Technically it was more than I wanted to spend on a DAC but I usually don't regret spending too much...

Yeah good point about it being incompatible with the docks. I didn't considered that. Fiio has built an impressive ecosystem that gives it an edge over its competitors and the engineering on this DAP is impressive.

I've been using USB-C for over a year and haven't had a single problem. A Google engineer has done the research on the good/bad cables and the information is readily available. I'd assume if you're on a forum like this then you're smarter than the average consumer that buys cables at a gas...

Simple fix, don't buy poorly made cables. All Android phones are switching to USB-C, USB-C is the future and a much better design than micro USB. If you are really worried about your cheap cables buy a micro USB to USB-C adapter and use your old cables.

And any engineer worth their salt would have known that going in and not made that promise a year ago. Even if you don't want it to be called a promise, the decision was made a while ago to drop to 1 uSD. They could have told us then and people could have made other plans. Within a couple hours...

Then go with a SD card slot. Or at least give it 128/256GB internally. We're talking about what is supposed to be a TOTL DAP. Why compromise it from the start?

For a TOTL DAP you shouldn't need a workaround like that. Hence the disappointment from many.
