Just picked up a set as well, looking forward to them :)  Excited to do some back to back listening between AKG-271's (my only other closed can) and my HD-600's out of the asgard.

yeah but the velour pads are deeper, so your ears don't contact as much.. and sit inside instead of touching the pleather etc.

I'm not sure i'll ever find a heapdhone more comfortable than senn hd-80/600/650. My ears stay cool and almost contact free. What more can you ask for.

I like the beyer pads used on the 770's and would like to use them on my akg271's. I like having minimal contact w/ my ears and the headphone. Has anyone done this? I'm having comfort issues w/ my 35's. Has anyone found a way to mod them so they dont' clamp so tight? Has anyone successfully modded the drivers into the 75 shell? I'm looking for any kind of solution here, because i love the sound, but can't leave them on for more than 30 min before my ears...

I havn't heard very many sets of headphones, but i would highly recommend the senn hd-555's. They are only 50 ohm, and can easily be driven by my soundblaster live card. They are exceedingly comfortable, and seem to play everything from country to hard rock well. :-D once again, i'm no pro, but...

I'm no pro, but i just got a pair of hd-555's and they are great w/ no amp out of my computer (laptop and desktop) as well as my ipod mini. I have a cmoy also.. which i'm almost mad i bought because these headphones sound better unamped imho. Guess in need to buy a less efficient pair next :-D

I currently have a set of sony eggo model d33's, and I have been searching for 77's with no luck for a few weeks.. i'm wondering what the difference between the 33 and 66 are besides the cord (33's have duel cords). I'm really scared the 66's will be discontinued and i'll never get a set again...
