I am an idiot.

I was listening to my Sennheiser HD555 when I saw a spider on the wall, behind my right channel Polk LSi9 speaker. I got up and proceeded to look closely.

Bad move.

The sharp plastic corner of my HD555 hit the corner of my speaker veneer and scratched it!!!

DAM* HEADPHONES!!!!

Where's the angry smiley when you need one??

There...

Your phones scratched your speakers? I'd've thought it'd be the other way around. Perhaps the lesson should not be "don't walk around your room" but "take off your phones before you go investigate the random creatures that wander about".

I dont know what kind of super heavy-duty plastic Sennheiser molded into these 555s. I would've MUCH preferred the 555s scratched or even broken in half than to have my speakers get scratched. $1200 babies are injured... #*%@!

Yes, you may be right....

NEW TIP: Take off headphones before investigating weird creatures in your room.

BOO!!!

I know that I had a few problems with the ATH-A100Ti as that was when I was taking my baby steps for "walking around with huge phones in public". It's like getting used to not knocking off the mirrors on a new much bigger car

I was listening on Grado 80's once when I tripped on the wire and went down the stairs, head first!!!!!

The Grados stayed on my head and the music was still playing at the bottom.

Ouchies iancraig10...I usually just get the headphone cord snagged on something when I walk around with my headphones on. Then my headphones fly off I just look really really stupid.
