Yuin PK1-PK2 impressions thread

I searched for headphone/earphone which is convenient for casual listening. I willed to trade off some SQ for this convenience.

But I found perfection – Yuin PK1. Perfect sound with no flaws, and perfect comfort up to disappearing. It sounds like good big sized can or expensive micro-armature IEM, while excels them both in comfort.

Yuin PK1 is my favorite phone. I heartedly recommend it to any who want big sound with big comfort, anywhere.

Other good earbuds are ATH-CM700 and Yuin PK2. See my thread 7 best earbuds rated.

In my experience the bass got a little stronger with burn in, say 20-25 hours if I remember correctly.

I got my PK1s a couple months ago, listened to them a couple times, but after coming from full-size cans with a full, warm sound, I thought, "Okay, nice but too thin." I tossed them aside and was thinking of selling them, but I picked them back up a couple weeks ago, and am I glad I did. These little things are really impressive. The more I listen to them, the more I appreciate how detailed they are...and with soundstage?...earbuds? I'm listening right now with an imod and PRII. Really really nice.

Thanks for sharing your experience Rick... that's definitely good news as his complaint was that it lacked bass.

Todd @ttvj gave me $10 off the pk1 and there was some discount so I only paid $2 something for shipping

I can't wait until I get them, but damn I might be forced to buy a better amp with them, but I hope they will sound good enough straight from my Meizu m6.

I'm not sure how you could recable them, the cable goes all the way into the plastic housing that can't be opened.

whatabout re-plugging them. anyone done this for an upgrade, or no need? are they a 3 wire, or is it more complicated than that?

I am going to write a review of the PK1s. For the review, I would be interested to know how durable they are. Has anyone had any quality issues (things breaking etc)? Personally I have not had problems.
