What was your first headphone purchase after coming to Head-Fi?

My first purchase since joining head-fi is a pair of Sennheiser hd600's. Which I bought from someone on the site. I'm eagerly awaiting their arrival, so I can experience some of the headphone bliss that I've been reading about. . . . . It's like being a kid waiting for Christmas morning!

Someday, I may add some CD3000's, or possibly some ATH-w1000's to the collection.

Before: Sennheiser HD600s, Grado SR-225s and HeadRoom Supreme

After: Grado HP-1s, Emmeline HR-2, Melos Gold Reference (to be maestrobated in the next week) - all within a week of each other

Next up: Sony R10s and Omega IIs (possibly by the end of the year)

I didn't fool around before I came to Head-Fi and I'm still not fooling around now that I'm here.

(I've had this audio disease long before most of you were born.)

Before: Grado 225's

During: The rubber band around my wallet slipped off onto my wrists, like handcuffs, and my fingers went into a fanatic dance on the keyboard without my control, result....

After: AKG K-1000's

Actually no. I'm currently unemployed (and I still bought all of those things just a couple of weeks ago). I'll probably end up at Microsoft at some point but I'm trying not to.

Two more Seattle Head-Fiers... you know that we've been trying to be very active with getting together for meets and the such. We've had 2 small ones (5 and 8 people) in the past few weeks. I think we're going to shoot for a large one at the end of September or early October so keep an eye out for it.

A little bit of nostalgia for my 500th post

Pre-Headwize: Sony MDR-V2 or something like that
Headwize: Sony MDR-7506
Head-Fi: Koss KSC-50, Sennheiser MX400, Grado SR60, Koss KSC-35

So far I have managed to avoid anything too 'high-end'
