What movie did you just see?

No one's mentioned The Island yet? I saw it last week and enjoyed it a lot. Much much better than any of the recent Spielberg/Lucas crap that's been lately (save Revenge of the Sith)

The Island was OK. My wife and I saw it last weekend. There were a lot of takeoffs from other movies, but I didn't want to get up and leave part way through or anything like that. The freeway chase scene was excellent, easily worth the price of admission. Michael Bay may not be the best filmmaker on the planet, but he sure can stage extreme action.

Lost in Time - Ceceilia Cheung. One of the best love stories I've seen in a long time. The movie dragged in parts and it seemed weighed down with emotions. But there was a scene that involved the little kid that just got the tears flowing from my eyes (won't spoil it

). Anyway, highly recommened.

Goddess of Mercy - Vicki Zhao, Nicholas Tse. A good story line but this movie dragged. I blame that on the fact that the story is not actually told from the main characters point of view. It feels like we're missing too much from the relationship between Vicki and Nicholas. A decent story but just not involving enough told from a third parties point of view. Still recommened if you like either Nicholas Tse or Vicki Zhao.

Just saw Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon. Awesome. So much so that I'm now going to get all the pre 1975 movies he made that I can.

Wedding Crashers.

Damn that girl is FINE! The movie is hilarious but forgettable. Full of cliches but the performances were pretty good. Worth the $10.

Im going to go watch Anchorman again. Cant get enough of that Turd Ferguson.

Batman Begins, Stealth and Fantastic 4.

They were all pretty good in their own ways, and are at least worth seeing.

I didn't know what to expect with Batman Begins because I've carefully avoided reading any detailed reviews. I had heard that is was probably the best of all action figure movies (i.e., better than the Spiderman movies and such), so I had high hopes. It had a nice story line, but was a little slow in developing. It was more of a feature film type of movie than an action figure type of movie, but there was enough action to keep it moving along. It was very dark, but this is to be expected since Batman only comes out at night.

Slealth will be a lot fun to check out on DVD when it becomes available. It should be a real test for the subwoofers of any HT system!

Fantastic 4 was fun and light hearted, and the blond chick is smoking hot, so definitely a thumbs up. Ya, I know her name, but still, it feels kind of good just to call her "the blonde chick" like I'm not all that impressed...

Just watched 7 Swords by Tsui Hark. Quite dissapointed...the whole thing feels very disjointed. I think they tried to compressed an epic into a 2 1/2 hour film....its like watching the whole of Dune saga in one film.

That guy darth was evil...Apparently he just woke up one morning and thought it would be cool to be evil. That is was I saw how he changed, most convincingly too. Now how about that property on Mars....

On to point. I saw Hitch and House of Flying Daggers 'On Demand' last night.
