Material things are not essential. Even though we use them everyday other things are more important. Spend time with the ones you love instead of your headphones. I just ordered my hd25-1 ii so I'm good.

Fwiw - That quip doesn't end well for most religious proponents... just sayin. 
 
Also - if the NFB-10SE is a bit too much to ask for (and it is) i'll take some time off work to spend with my family as a nice replacement.

I am getting a M-Audio Audiophile 192 DAC for xmas.
And i proably will get 2-3 mics and a vintage mixer but the mixer will be more of a present to myself.
