Just sent off my gr07 to be recabled w/ 4ft SPC Midnight IEM Cable terminated into RA 3.5mm. Will post pics and results once I get them back!

Now that you mentioned it I took my ear guides off. I'm sitting down right now and it does feel more comfortable and seems to create a better seal. I hope it works while working out. Any thoughts on which tips work better the comply T 140 or the TS400. I have the T140's medium and I could use a large I have not tried the TS400's yet. But it's nice not to have the slight pull of the ear guides.

what do you mean by not even the same? the cable, y split and jack look the same as gr06/07 so could be clones

Looks might be same , but sound and tech wise its different . That's what I'm sayin

You know that vsonic is also an oem supplier , so that is why the housing looks alike.

I actually wish the 07 had those strain reliefs.

Close yes but the differences are in the details - The box mold on the back is small on the clone, Strain relief is not only different but the strain housing on the body is different. The hump on the back before going to the nosel is rounder and much taller, they have the L/R on the Strain on the body not on the back of the main housing, the plug is missing the notch cutout on the middle rib, port hole on back is in a different position. Could these be from same Manu, possible but all those differences to me says no they are not.

Well, that's a pretty obvious clone of the GR06 aside from the strein relief - you can even see that the specs are the same 24ohm and 108db. It's too expensive to take on the GR06 though.

Ahh that makes more sense, they do look like the GR06 not the GR07.

I think I'll be having my MK1s re-cabled - I like them too much to get rid of them...and I just found out that one of my local shops will be doing custom silicon molds for universal in about a month, so no more tip issues, too. I think they'll look pretty sweet with BTG cables and the ear molds.
