One week from GR07 wow to EPH100 wow. You make me feel good about the purchase of the EPH100 for my son. LOL.

Let me tell you the ones that were not wow. Sony EX1000 (hated it), j-phonic K2 SP (horrible), MTPC (as good as a $20 Xears), IE8 (muddy), SM3 (too dark), just to mention a few.

BTW, SM3 9.1, GR-07 9.2, UM3X 9.4, EPH-100 9.4 (due to treble but they giveme alot more fun).

The ranking may change. And remember, this is just my opinion, my experience with these IEMs, your mileage may vary.

Man I love your rating on the EPH100. I am going to trade my IE80 with my son's EHP100 plus some video games. LOL.

Seriously I am happy for you. What really matters is you have  found your perfect-10 dream IEM's. Enjoy.

P.S. I am looking forward to another wow by this time next week. LOL.

No dude, as you said, I found my perfect 10 dream IEM. My next wow will be the custom made 6 driver Unique Melody Merlins. Nomore wow's besides that ; )

But the GR-07's were definitely a wow before I listen to the EPH-100's. The Vsonics are a very very good IEM for the price (better than your IE80's for sure), but the Yamahas outperform them by quite a large margin. It's life.

Well the custom art pieces won't work for me - regardless of the sound. I even heard the sound may not be necessarily improved.

I never tested GR07, but I am convinced that the IE80 was born for classical music. I won't be surprised that many fellows at Berliner Symphoniker use these bad boys. You can't produce the symphony flavors without the big sound stage, detailed mids/lows and the bass by the IE80. With this said, the IE80 can do much more than that for me.

Yes, for classical music they might be a good solution. But try listening to classical with the EPH-100's and you'll understand what I'm saying ; )

Dude have you done with your editing before I reply? No wonder you have 2 wows in the span of one week. LOL.

As I said in another thread, everything here is a matter of taste.
I like my EPH-100 a LOT (for everything with vocals and guitar) but I still prefer my UM3X for other types of music (classical, jazz...)

Is in fact a matter of taste. I still prefer the EPH-100 for jazz due to the bass. Everything sounds more lively and energetic to me. But the UM3X treble is better and that helps on jazz, so I totally understand your preference. If I could find a IEM with all the characteristics of the EPH-100 but with the UM3X treble, would be perfection for my ears.

Hello
For me, I like the mid-range produced by GR07 over the other two. But I think Phonak produces clearer sound among my three iems.
How would you rate between Gr07 ,Shure SE215 and Phonak pfe?

Never had the chance to listen to the SE215 (just SE420) and Phonak PFE.

Yeah, the mid-range produced by the GR-07's is quite amazing. It makes you forget some flaws.

Thanks for your response.

In deed, what you have mentioned above is so true.
I also felt the same on GR-07 (even it was just a brief sound check before I handed them to my girlfriend as a gift).
