What to choose, please?
Vision Ears EXT or EE Legend X ?
EXT by far. They’re totally different IEMs though really.
You will get a different answer depending on whether you ask this on the VE board or the EE boardWhat to choose, please?
Vision Ears EXT or EE Legend X ?
In my personal opinion they are overall relatively similar and you can’t go wrong with which ever one you choose. I have the LX and I had the EXT on tour where I listened to it extensively. I really liked the EXT and it fit my ears perfectly. In my notes at the time I wrote down that if I didn’t already have the LX then I would give some heavy consideration to buying the EXT. However, I didn’t feel that I would need both, just one or the other. Of course YMMV and all that.

Just an update on my cable hunt -- ended up contacting @doctorjuggles from Khanyayo Cable and getting his Impi. This is only Day 2 of me using it, but BOY. I am so blown away by it. Absolutely gorgeous sound for very very very good value. I have actually tried the Chiron, Centurion and First Time before receiving these. While I can see that the above mentioned cables are better in technicalities, they are also at least 10x the price. Additionally, I found myself loving the tuning of the Impi paired with my Phonix way way more. Big win! Thank you to @toaster as well for recommending that I check Khanyayo Cable out. Honestly amazing pairing.

According to doctorjuggles, it is graphene-coated SPC wires. He personally described it as the "baby version" of the 1950s, very similar sound signature, and is probably around 95% performance of the 1950s. I thought it had more sparkle and oomph than the 1950s when I tried it, but it has been a few weeks since then and the place I tested did have some noise, so it might have drowned some aspects of the cable out. That cable looks great with the Phonix. What are the wires in the Impi?

While it might seem like a step backward with all my other IEMs, my Elysium finally arrived! Can't wait to cable roll this baby.

Bit of an open ended question but do folks have a favorite more walkable DAP for the elysium? I have a 300 max but I’m looking for something more portable. I was considering the kann alpha but still seems too bulky, and may not be good enough
