My silver cable of choice is a work of art from @doctorjugglesThanks for your feedback, can you recommend a special one?
Wow that's really stunning! Thanks a lot for sharing, does it have a special name or anything? My silver cable of choice is a work of art from @doctorjuggles
Up for sale is my Vision Ears EXT if anyone is looking to buy:

To be honest, I’m not sure.Wow that's really stunning! Thanks a lot for sharing, does it have a special name or anything?
PM him and tell him you’re interested in the silver cable he made for me (George). Mine is 8-wires, but I know he’s also used the same wire to make a 4-wire variant. His craftmanship is A++. I opted for Plussound hardware, but he has his own he can use for less (since he has to import the PS hardware).

the wire he used for me is the 6n 23.5AWG type 6 litz cable he refers to a few times in his posts.
Thanks a lot George for your recommendation, I will contact him and ask for your cable. To be honest, I’m not sure.

ah, I've heard good things about this, can't afford a trip to Canjam SoCal to try thotry Effect audio Cleopatra II
it's a very bad habit to browse classified post in spare time
i didn't expect but saw a 1st hand owner selling his treasured Vision Ears Erlkönig at a relatively reasonable price. struggling not to buy yet another iem but the attempt is in vain. . .
really beautiful iem but the effect audio made silver cable actually looks quite flimsy but pliable. 2.5mm plug is a bit out of trend after almost 4 years. yet VE still only offers 2.5mm plug with the new phonix (also EA odin's stormbreaker).
i only auditioned the phonix for 15mins or so but Erlkönig (in setting 3) sounds quite similar according to my remote (and not so reliable) memory. it really is heavy but fits very securely in my ear with the stock spinfit tips so i have no complain on this regard.
the shiny cast silver shell of fitear is much more prone to scratches and i think Vision Ears did a better job here. not to mention the substantial wooden case obviously outclasses the pelican case of fitear too (rightly so for the price difference). the faceplate is fixed in place by magnet and the color/texture is very different from the shell. i guess it's steel instead of silver.
i wonder if there's any Erlkönig user knows where i can find the serial #? the box and the warranty card just spell the manufacture date and the shell didnt have any s/n# printed like the universal VE8 and EVE20 i got. a bit puzzling.

Welcome to Erlkonig family! Enjoy!

Although I’ve sent it on to a new home, Erlky remains one of my all-time favorite iems.
Enjoy!

Indeed really nice sounding iem with unequal beauty.Although I’ve sent it on to a new home, Erlky remains one of my all-time favorite iems.

Just have a few minor caveats so far:
- The spinfit tips sealed well but i've twice found the tips staying in my ear canal when i tried to remove the Erlkonig! I think the nozzle without edge/slot is the problem! Quite embarrassing when I'm on the street
- 2.5mm plug! Also no compartment in the soft case for individual iem given how easy silver surface will have scratch marks
- i still cant find the serial # . . .

Agree about the smooth nozzle with no edge…it’s helpful to keep tweezers nearby.
