Hi all

Keep looking at the ibasso dc01/dc02, curious if anybody has tried one and confirmed working with a huawei p30 mobile phone? (not the p30 Pro)

Cheers

P30 user here, just received a DC02 today and all good.

First impressions is that it delivers slightly less power than my Hidizs Sonata (which I expected to be the case as the DC02 has 900mV out), but does sound a bit cleaner.

Not required but some old phones that cannot provide power enough, it needs.

Or if you dont want to ruin battery for your smartphone, you have option to do.

Hi everyone....
Got ibasso DC01, currently been using that on Hiby R3 dap and the sound upgrade quality is noticeable better
Thinking of getting BGVP T01 dongle too...
Has anyone here tested BGVP T01 on Hiby R3 or anywhere else??
Any impressions on bgvp T01 anyone??

What exactly is better? Expecting DC01 too.
How much time faster is the R3 battery drained out with DC01?

Sorry but the battery drains out really quickly there...
I suppose that in a 4 hour long listening session there the battery goes from 100% to 0....
BUT... the Soundstage expands more wide using DC01 on R3, everything comes crystal clear and forward the separation gets clearly better
From the day I started using DC01 on R3 in never tried it any other way...

Thanks a lot for answering my questions.
So it turns out the DC01 drains the batery almost 3 times faster.
How about bass comparison?

Well to my ears at least each bass note is articulated precisely with authority
Sonically wise, the difference between R3 and R3/DC01 is more than noticeable... So much different that I haven't used R3's balanced out since the day I first stucked DC01 on R3..... The Soundstage as a unity gets more holographic and each detail more discernable...
But given the fact that the conception of music is a subjective matter it is up to you to make your personal conclusions
For my taste R3/DC01 is clearly a winner as sound matters... :kissing::kissing_smiling_eyes:

The absolute best USB C DAC that's available right now is the E1DA 9038s. For $70, it rivals the sq of $500 DAPs. As for 4.4mm, I think you'll have to adapt.
interesting, is it majorly better than the ibasso dc01? i'm not sure that i'd want to invest in another usb c dac unless it's gonna bring a major upgrade, i'll get my ier m9 soon, hopefully it'll pair well with the dc01! :D

I don't own both but someone who does said you'd want to throw the ibasso out the next window once you had listened to the 9038s.
