Meizu HiFi Pro / Hidizs Sonata HD II![]()
HI Meizu hifi pro is not available anymore, only the standard version. I've found Hidizs Sonata 3, is it ok?
Thanks in advance!

DC04 can't play 256DSD, or at least in some of the batch in my country.
Yes. I noticed that also... like you, my Audirvana apps at laptop, only can read Max 128 DSD. I dont used DSD on my smartphone.. but find some user here can do 256 DSD via DAP / smartphone...Huh, I just noticed. DC03 won't let you play DSD256 on Windows no matter what.
Hi someone can help to find the best dac type c/3.5 Jack supporting microphone and calls?
The Ztella reportedly has a pretty terrible ADC inside so probably not a good choice for someone that needs that. (https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...ne-headphone-adapter-review.11785/post-633103)
I can't attest to that as I haven't bought it, but I can tell you that the Meizu Pro has a fantastic ADC
Zorloo Ztella should also pass through mic and remote control. It's also very sleek and positively tiny. I have it and the sound quality is amazing (on Tidal HiFi and MQA). It has two versions, one with and one without MQA, with the MQA version being pricier. https://www.zorloo.com/ztella

It is not good for phone calls.
There are gaps when talking so the caller can't hear you and annoying pops and clicks for the answerer.
I don't know what ADC is, but could well be that the mic passthrough is not the best on it.. My original post mainly relied on the fact that the Ztella has mic functionality, at least on paper. But I have tested mic functionality and it at least "does work."The Ztella reportedly has a pretty terrible ADC inside so probably not a good choice for someone that needs that. In any case, if you are listening on a smartphone, you'll want to get UAPP or a similar app to circumvent Android's audio limitations. A DAC will still give you better sound than the smartphone's own output, but a third party app like UAPP can really bring out the difference and the point for using a DAC.Sorry, but I do not understand what is MQA...
I own a S20 FE, I play only flac on sd card or Mp3. No Tidal or other cloud service, sometimes Amazon Music...
DAC: D->A ConverterHmm, you might be right. To be honest I haven't really tested it for phone calls, as I use UAPP and its USB driver override means that on the fly answering calls doesn't really work anyway, since I would have to exit the app before UAPP released the signal and passed phone's audio through the DAC. And even then it might not work as the DAC might want a plugging in again, which would trigger UAPP autostart againSo a hassle with UAPP right now.
But I can vouch that the remote control works fine at least.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a USB DAC to listen on my computer and my smartphone. I am torn between two products iBasso DC03 and TempoTec SONATA HD PRO.
Which one would you recommend?
I listen mostly to black, death, symphonic and doom metal. Do you think it is necessary?
03 for Sureunless you need cross platform to iOS
