Before I tear out any more of my hair, can anyone give me (or point to) a step-by-step guide to streaming music over a LAN from an external drive on a Windows 10 laptop (MS Surface Pro 3) to my LG V30? I've tried all sorts of ways, but can't get it to work.

First you should install a upnp media server like Servio or Asset UPNP and then on UAPP select the UPNP/DLNA servers from the left slide out panel. It should list the UPNP server running on your windows 10 laptop and list the media therein.

You can connect to SMB / Windows share within UAPP and then browse from within the app. Works really well. You may need authentication credentials to your share. I have a NAS which I connect to which has all of my music files. No need to install any DNLA if you already have some shares.

my tidal stream through UAPP keeps pausing and displays error "audio data was not received in time".
Is this is app issue or the Tidal API?
M11 Pro, bit perfect on, MQA enabled.
I'm sure I tried that a few years ago and it worked up to a point (it only seemed to 'see' a limited number of files). I couldn't get it to work recently though, for some reason.
Can anyone explain to me how to instigate auto play upon bluetooth connection with this app? I can't for the life of me find the menu or option to activate it...
I have spent the last half an hour scouring for these settings to no avail. Why oh why UAPP cannot just have a menu for "Resume playback upon connection (sub menu : Bluetooth, usb, line out, etc)" is beyond me. Neutron and Poweramp manage to perfectly..
