You should save up $40 more for the DT770 Pro/80. It has a very similar sound signature to the 681 and is super comfy and a deeper soundstage
I also would like to know what a good upgrade to the hd-681 could be up to 130$. I read that the takstar have weaker bass to the superlux and I nearly can't imagine the oposite. My 681 can make a such a deep and powerful bass that my eardrums feel like a brush is tickling them. I never heard such a powerful bass and never felt this on my eardrum in my life.
These headphones are so much fun, they regularly make me smile when I hear them.
What I want is a deeper soundstage. I'm no expert but I think the width is very good but there is a lack of deepness in the soundstage.
Of course less harsh highs would be an important thing, more separation and of course the same powerful bass.
Better comfort would be fine, too. They should also work good without amp.
in short:
I love how much fun the superlux are, what headphone is even better with a similar signature for under 130$?
Edit:
I read about the jaycar/ HM5 / Fa-003 but what I read is that they might have a weaker bass than the superlux and the jaycar aren't available in Germany.
