Thought of selling my Triple Fi 10s as I cant get a good fit for long periods, only when not moving on the train.
So I dragged them out to use/retry with my iphone4 (RMAA show a flat response with the iph4).
Great sound, better than with ipod touch 4G.

I dont want to part with them but I dont use them enough. Because of the fit. Cant be bothered reshelling and have tried many a tip.

Triple Fi 10s/Null audio cable.

Have you tried DIY earplug tips? I have the same exact setup as you and gone through all the different type of tips(comply, sony hybrids, cheap tips from ebay). I guess it would be expensive to order from Japan but I'm sure you could easily find something similar

I have a bad earwax problem but they stay in good but usually have to cut a new tips every 2-3 weeks after daily use

Have you tried the 'flip flop' mod?  makes a huge difference for me.

I had the same problem, did try different tips which includes hybrids, monster super tips, comply, etc, etc, etc. I had tips issues for over a year, not that I did not get good seal, hybrids did the trick with good seal but the small bore made TF10 sound Veiled. With different tips I tried either I experienced seal issues or TF10 sound was veiled. Around 3-4 month back I found the final answer to my tips issue. Philips SHE6000 tips did the trick for me, its bulges at the end, unlike other tips that helps on the seal and large bore makes TF10 sound sweet…ohh boy… seal and sound from TF10 now is awesome….it sounds much more open, fuller and soundstage also improved as there nothing in between your ears and TF10 (SHE6000 tips bore is bigger than TF10 nozzle) and I am really enjoying the TF10 now…seems like I do not require any other IEM for long long time.

Did try many other IEM’s, including GR07, 535 red, Sony XBA-3, etc….
GR07 also has fit issues, 535 do not justify price when compared to TF10, Sony XBA3 sound to bright…when compared to other TF10 has a good balance (even though they are u shaped)….it is not too dark or bright, do not sound hollow and on spot for me when it comes to crispness, timber, soundstage…I wish they had better imaging..

Personally I will never give up TF10

I will post pic of TF10 with Philips tips latter.

Compare the flat response of the iphone4 with the triplefi10 to the rolled off highs on the iphone5

http://www.markuskraus.com/RMAA/rmaa%20complete%20-%20html.html

So i would say not a good match for the iphone5.

Do you think the Sennheiser IE80 would be a good match then? I have to decide between these two and I'll go with whatever works best with my phone (without any external amp). I don't really have any issues regarding sound quality of these two IEMs.

Who even uses the onboard iPod anymore, with all the superior parametric-Eq style apps available these days?

My question would be, who uses the 1/8 out on the iphone any more with all the portable USB DAC/amp combos under $200?

If you're setting up your phone to be a dedicated mp3 player, then that's a good point. But if you're using it frequently for calls and SMS, grafting an amp onto it gets clunky so I get the convenience of plug n' play into the 1/8 out.

I figured this was the place for this question - I have a pair of TF10's that I love, but never wear because of the fit. (They have under 100 hours, probably under 50) I was going to have them reshelled into customs when I got around to it. Now because of a great deal, I have 2 pair of Heir Audio customs (8A/4A) coming in a month or so. I have to figure that the TF10's are not going to get much ear time now and the rush to custom isn't as pressing. I am on the fence about selling them - but would like to know from those who may have demo'd all three - is there a good reason to keep the TF10's? Won't the Heirs cover all the bases, so to speak?

I think the heirs would cover all the bases, I got my 10s made into customs and love them, but the Heirs will do the same in terms of isolating outside noise and from what I have read they are on par if not better in terms if sound quality...

Hello. I'm looking to replace the stock cable because the right side keeps going out whenever I move the cable. I am debating on getting on one of the following cables. Does anybody have any experience with either cable and which one would you recommend? Thanks.
