Have any of you tried the custom cables on a stock TF10?  The cables look real nice and something that I wouldn't mind spending $30 on if they actually worked well.

Someone responded earlier that they do fit but it would be a little tight (and have to force them in).  Would you guys recommend buying any of these?

And if you do have these, do you recommend the 48" or the 64"?

Thanks for the feedback.

I got the tf10s a few months ago. I love the sound they output, but I find them falling out a lot...i'm a drummer and that cannot happen in the middle of a song. I'm getting them reshelled at inearz. I read through some pages of the thread, it looks like it doesn't change the sound... At least I hope not. Cheers

What way are you wearing them and have you tried flipping them?  I've tried all possible variations and have settled on having the R and L in opposite ears and flipped with the wire over the top and going down behind me ears. We all have different ears but for me they go in much deeper this way and are so secure I can even go jogging with them now.
To insert I just align them with the wire end pointing towards my eyes, open my mouth push them in, rotate them upwards and push the wires over the top of my ears and crimp them slightly for a deeper, very comfortable and secure fit.

I use them with the wire going over my ear. I play drums so they fall out while playing

Yep, but have you tried wearing the right IEM in the left ear & vice versa?  They insert much further for me this way..

I think that is called the flip flop mod. I agree that they do insert deeper - for me at least.

I'm gonna have to give that a go one of these days.  Haven't been doing too much headphone listening though.  Not with new Quad 11L2s in the house and just strapped in a Canare 4S11 cable and bi-wired up the speakers... have been doing some fun listening (too bad my kids broke my Aiwa DVD Transport... now on the hunt for a CD Transport)...

So, would custom tips made by an audiologist work across different brands of IEM, like etymotics and TF10? Thanks!

my custom tips were made for standard 4mm funnel IEMs, they work on sennheiser IE's and all other 4mm ones, not sure about ety's but they don't work on westones because they have 2mm funnels.

Why get custom tips, when you can turn it into a full custom.

Thanks for the feedback.

IIRC, the pins on the custom cables are bigger than the TF10 cable. They will work, but stretch the female ends at the IEMs, so you can't go back to the stock cable. If buying, be sure you buy the ones on the bottom of the page with pins exposed, not the recessed pins.

Thanks for info, I was waiting for someone to confirm they fit.
after using IIRC given its quality and durability do you see any reason to go back to stock cables?
