Wow, i absolutely killed my wires. Shoddy build quality/soldering/cabling caused the left side to go dead.
No warranty so I've got a cable coming, but just wondering what you guys make of it.
Will post pics later :L

It happens a lot dude, thats why I just gave up buying stock cables. Just be patient, yours are on the way! I mailed some out to Kremer930 and he got his in about a week give or take, so yours should be 2-3 days into their transit already!

I'll let you know when I use the other Viablue plug on a project!

Not personally no, I don't even know of any other 90's other than Oyaide which is going to be heavier (although very pretty)... I don't like the 90 either, they orient the cable awkwardly in my pocket. The Oyaide plug is pretty kickass. PM me if you have any ideas

Hmm, that's unfortunate. The Oyaide one looks massive! My Neutrik connector has also become really scratched up. I wish I could get the standard small UE connector on some silver wire.

Bad soldering made my cable's right sound lower than the left. And I completely covered and burnt my plug with my bad soldering skills.

I think the Neutrick one's are the best. I used the silver REAN branded gold-plated straight plug.

The Oyaide one's are really popular in Japan. (But all these plugs are ginormous compared to any stock cable. My friends make fun of me when I show them my TF-10's because of the size of the plug and the earphones itself.)

What kind of cables do you use to make your own cables. I used the Mogami 2526 for mine, and it's a little too thin for my taste.

So, i just bought a TF10 from the FS, and as the original cable isn't really the best i'm already checking up on other cables.

I've found two so far that are interesting (well, i don't want to spend a fortune on cables, but i can spend more than this if it's deemed a better choice.)

Which one of these would be the best, do you think?
What others should i check up on? I can spend more than this if i get something for the money.

Belkin connector vs Furutech, i've seen that furutech has a good reputation here.

Frankly, I highly doubt that those cables will be any better than the stock cable if not worse.
Spend a bit more money and get something better, e.g. null audio, effect audio, a twag or something. Save up if you must, but unless your stock cable is broken, I don't recommend you get any of the cheap cables because they probably will not seem like an improvement.
I bought my cable from this guy on head-fi, he's reliable with good feedback and seems to make high quality custom cables: http://www.head-fi.org/user/chris_himself
The cable he made for me is up higher on the page, and I'd recommend him, but I just recommend you stay away from the cheapies if you're looking for an improvement on the stock cable

The improvement i was looking for was mostly durability. Otherwise i think i'd be happy as long as the quality of the cabling isn't worse than the original.

About how much does Chris take?

I agree, the futuretech doesn't even list what materials are used. The stock cable is fine, if a bit prone to to stresses. I've ordered the best cables from effect.audio, still waiting on them to arrive. Silver can make some differences as opposed to copper but can be worse depending on what sounds you like.

Cable should really be the last thing you upgrade, you can get a cheap amp for the amount I spent on the silver upgrade.

Yes, but as said, i'm mostly checking up in good time due to the durability issues seen on the stock. (Where the memory-wire end as an example)

If you don't want to worry much about price you could always check out something like this?

That one's interesting. Well, that's around what i'm comfortable paying for a cable for these IEM's
When the cable costs more than the actual phone however, i feel it's a bit steep.

Well, if you wanted to know a little more about them, here's a nice review:

http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/556123/review-and-impressions-thread-beat-audio-cronus-and-supreme-rose-cables-for-custom-iems

If I were ever to get custom cables, I'd probably get these.  They're reasonably priced and don't make any questionable claims about audio quality.  I like the way the company doesn't even openly advertise the materials they're made out of - they feel it'll cloud peoples' judgement on the sound of the cables.
