Yow. Good thing that's not a BA IEM, got one to pop off and it tried to escape. Also I almost stabbed myself. <-< Also I might slow-mail order another set off AE as backup, first attempt on second IEM bent the key. Bent back easily enough, but metal fatigue's definitely a thing.

Either I suck at this or I've found the exception to the rule. Not sure which yet because I've not gotten the second IEM off yet... Hoping it's the Tennmaks being stubborn, being able to swap IEMs for walking occasionally would be nice but not if it involves this level of hassle.

Ha. Finally got second, using a completely different key than the two you suggested (used the fatter one that looks like a tuning fork, gave me more surface area to brace my fingers against). Now to pop on different IEMs and see what results, in more ways than one.

Popping second set of IEMs on just as cantankerous as first and again the left IEM attachment is proving the hardest. If they're just as problematic coming off I'm picking one set and leaving them on until one or the other component breaks... (Honestly, if this second pair sounds as good/better and is sufficiently comfortable I'm just leaving the blasted things on.)
(I'm still not unsatisfied or anything, even with all this hassle, just something for others to be aware of if they also are considering an MMCX BT3S.)

Edit - Took a break from trying to get the left IEM on, so no I haven't been trying this entire time. Fingertips are getting kinda' sort from trying though. Got annoyed enough I decided "Okay fine, let's see how the right IEM sounds, maybe I can just pop it off and go back to the Tennmaks." Using a certain triple driver sampler pack IEM the floor noise is virtually nonexistent so that's nice, wouldn't have called the Tennmaks being that sensitive but could also be the current ones being that much less so, and they sound quite good so if I can get the stupid left IEM on I think I will be set. Basically out of options other than the PT25 (which wouldn't be angled right anyhow) to try and compare and as much trouble as I'm having I'm disinclined to bother trying anyhow.
