Explains why Bob can get away with massive b-stock rebates. :p engineering of these is probably cost-prohibitive.

Found this as a recommendation when digging around for reviews on those. Here's the post I found from someone:

True, but the driver config remains a ceramic on top of a dynamic. So it's exactly the r1's config... Same driver size too. Only thing not specified is the type of DD.

So, the R1 slipped into the bedroom of the 1More Triple Driver and 9 mos later, the Artiste DC1 was born, lol. I love when I see a new Chi-Fi item and you can directly see where they got either the shell or the internals from. Like KZ with the ZS6 shell being a blatant Campfire Audio copy.

Just goes to show that noone is safe with their designs the minute they go to china... Cross breeding between IEM's happens at every street corner

I can no longer find the links on my computer, but I looked at this about a month ago... after seeing a photo that looked into the R1 and you could see the same small plate over the DD.
I found, and lost the patent link, sadly.
Some more information, use translate.

The R1 probably has an OEM driver with the filter system and metal housing. No way they have the capital nor skills to create a dedicated driver from the ground up.
It’s all made in China, but I would like to see what they mean by tuning it though as I have seen very little to prove they do.
It’s Chi-Fi earphones dressed up as high-end IEMs, but at least they are in stock and deliver. :)

Do I remember someone in here talking about a discount code for the Flares Gold a few months back? @majo123 ? Been doing some comparisons for my Campfire Atlas review, and managed to arrange some time with the IE800s so I can compare them - tempted to try out the Gold as well to see how they stack up.
