So you used like a handphone charger as the linear power supply?

No, I used an actual linear power supply as a linear power supply! Previously I has just used a phone USB 5V charger and a powered USB hub port. At one point I used an iFi iPower 5V power supply. However, a proper linear power supply helped to deliver the best sound quality.

I haven't read back through all of your posts discussing this issue, so apologies if you've already tried this. Have your tried different USB cables?
ya that is the first thing I have tried. I also tried different usb ports and also tried on my sister's laptop and still no luck.

Ah, okay. It's toast then. Perhaps a bad solder joint or a chip blown?
Uhm I dont know, but I am glad I can still use it using spdif while waiting for another DAC that I have ordered. I hope this is not a quality control problem and that there are very few people who experienced this.

If so, pls ask for an after-service from the seller.
Unfortunately mine is already out of warranty, and I ordered smsl m400 so I will just use it with the optical connection for the meantime.

I cannot get my D50s to play any DSD files over USB from my Windows 10 laptop via Foobar2000. I downloaded and installed the latest ASIO drivers, following the installation and setup guide carefully. All of my hi-res files show their resolution on the D50s display, and they sound fine, but nothing shows up on the D50s display when I play a DSD file, and there is no sound. I had no difficulty playing DSD files with my Marantz DAC, so I'm assuming it's a matter of settings??

Here's where I downloaded the v4.86 drivers: https://www.tpdz.net/download

Do you have the opportunity to use the digital coaxial output? If so, I would use that rather than optical.
Unfortunately not
