Has anybody else had the same experience:

After trying them 'all' :

HD600
Sony MDR-CD3000
AGK 701
Grado 325
Sony mdr sa5000
Denon ah d5000

the circle ends with HD600.

If they still produced the sony cd3000 that would be my 'final' solution.

p.s. 'only' stax experience is missing

I'm still in the phase of going around!

HD280 Pro
RE2/RE1
Denon D2000
Grado SR60
Stax SR-Lambda
Ath W5000

Probably gonna stay with W5000 for a while.

I've stopped at the 325is, having found my ideal setup

. Only other cans I'd consider at this point are HD600s or 650s, and maybe a Markl-modded D2000.

Unless I can audition an RS2 and like it... no! Stop it! Aaaargh! *slaps self with wallet to drive point home*

No wonder. With the right setup, the Senns are fantastic cans!

I keep coming back to my Denon MD5000s. However, I'm sure the end of the world will come about the time I get a Raptor or Zana Deux and plug my HD600s in.

For me it's more an A ---> B thing, I don't think I'll return.
Pretty much come to a halt as well, unless AT releases a nice high end model that I find interesting.

Perhaps, but the end of the world to many, end with stax

Try a Stax, or even a K1000 and it may not end there...

Recently bought the HD650's for the 5th time. I've gone through various dynamics, the K1000, Stax, but somehow the HD650 is always welcome in my system. I have other cans too but the HD650 seems to be a perpetual keeper.

I started with the HD-650, added a few more and am now torn between the HD-650 and HD-600. I'll keep the rest and add a few more, but I reach for these two regularly. Though I am very curious about the HD-800 on the horizon.
