As promised, I did write a review of the wonderful thinksound on1s.

While this is not the thread for it, I just wanted to let you guys know that I adhere to promises (usually).

JVC Spiral Dot tips. Try this if you have them. Gotten very good results with better clarity as though a slight veil have been lifted. Sound stage have expanded a tad in width and created more space for imaging. Bass have more control and have less boom to it while still remains present with good body to it. Mids are a tad clearer and vocals have better focus while retaining the air around it. Highs losses it's slight edginess and sound smoother and seems to have extended higher creating a sense of a taller stage.

Just a simple tip roll open up the sound for me and I hope anyone who have the spiral dots to give it a try and see if it works for you. We may not hear things the same way so ymmv. But I do hope this could help Rain 2 owners to have a better listening experience. Cheers.

I have a set of Spiral Dots on order that are supposed to arrive tomorrow.  Looking forward to trying them with the Rain2.

When I had the Rain 2, the best tips were the stock tips, Spiral Dots, and TF10 tips. All wide bore, long nozzle. Anything less completely suffocates the stage and sound.

I hope this hype train isn't dead yet, because I finally received my pair of Rain 2s. They arrived way past their initial ETA (pushed back up to almost a couple weeks), but at least they're here now. I'm actually listening to them now as I type this, and my first impressions of them aren't very promising. It's a warm, smooth, enjoyable IEM, and my sister definitely likes it, but the warmth is a little too much for me to handle. I'll probably just give these to my sister once I'm done reviewing them, but my opinion might change with a little time.

I don't have any of those fany Spiral Dot eartips you guys have been talking about, but I do have wide-bore eartips that are supposed to make them sound better/clearer. It could be just me and my ears past midnight, but not much of an improvement if any from here. I guess I'll just hit the hey and come back with a fresh start and keep you guys posted. I'm expecting great things from this Rain 2.

Spiral dots, for the most part, tighten up the bottom end, giving bass a bit more focus, while keeping the top end extended and adds a slight bit of air and separation. Usually tips that focus the bottom end, tend to lose some treble response and soundstage (i.e. Sony Hybrids), but these are wide bore with long nozzle, so they retain the soundstage and enhance bass, while keeping the treble extended and airy.

It is posts like yours that keeps the hype going! No, it's not dead. A good earphone is a good earphone. We just wait for newer head-fi members to discover it too!! Thanks for your early impressions. Keep burning them in.

I really liked reading that review. Didn't necessarily agree with the review, but I did agree that they are far superior to the Marley brand, which in spite of being led by the Marley family themselves, are nothing more than environmentally conscious Skullcandy. For the Rain 3, I'd suggest less mid bass bloat, more focused highs, and you'd have one hell of a superior product. I'd be in.

I will be receiving a pair of these soon (most likely tomorrow according to shipping estimates).  I am curious how the comply tips sound with these, as they comment on them on the Thinksound main page.
