The Xiaomi Pistons Thread 2.0

Better than the pistons? The combo equals the price of the pistons in China lol

Technically, yes. They're better than the Pistons 2. The EDSE in particular is. I don't know how KZ does it, but they've got my money. I already ordered the KZ GR which has two nozzles so you can change the sound to your liking (black nozzle for bass, and red for balance and clarity) and KZ ANV which has 14 mm drivers tuned for balance. They're cheap, so it doesn't really hurt if the sound signature of the model you get doesn't appeal to you.

I really just wish they had real English translators at their office. Their descriptions are very hard to read, so it's basically eeny-meeny-mainee-mo if you don't have feedback from other people. Then again, it's probably another reason why their stuff is so cheap. And I'm not talking about cheap build quality, because frankly the EDSE and ES have much better cables and jack than the Pistons 2.

i want to ask one more thing

can you tell me , what material is piston 2 cable use?

i uploaded my piston 2 cable pics
hope you can tell me,and see through it

Yeah.  The cable is braided from the jack up until the Y-splitter. It looks correct, but your jack isn't gold. It's silver. Maybe they're selling silver variants there.

If you're complaining about the bass, the Pistons 2 are BASSY. Like, thick subwoofer-like bass instead of impactful, tight bass. It sounds about right. If you're looking for more clarity and sub-bass, you should be looking at the Philips SHE3590 + right equalizer settings.

nahhh...
the jack is gold, maybe my camera isn't that good (although is iphone 5s)
i'm not complaining about the BASS,i'm just comparing with IEM that has a good vocal balance so you know what i meant :D
(i'm basshead anyway)

Thanks again for your review :D

Sooooooo... it looks like not even Xiaomi know what is going on with the Indian Pistons. I guess it is a vary vague verification that they are the same. But very vague indeed.

Hi,
They're supposedly being sold officially via Flipkart. Those are the ones that I want to confirm that they are manufactured exactly the same as the Chinese version.

Hello Igor,

Thank you for supporting Xiaomi.

Yes, there are differences between Indian phone and Chinese phone such as our Chinese phone doesn't support Google Service.

Should you have any question, please feel free to contact us. Have a good day!

Hi again,
Are there any differences in design between the Indian edition and the Chinese addition? Or are they manufacture identically?

主题: Query about Pistons on Flipkart

Hi,

The recent release of the Xiaomi Piston IEMs on the India internet retailer Flipkart is actually causing some confusion with users. People are saying that they are different to the original 2.0/2.1 Pistons you get directly from Xiaomi. I am aware that there are copies/fakes being sold on different website like Aliexpress and others.
So my question is, are these earphone sold on Flipkart legitimate Xiaomi Pistons manufactured by Xiaomi? Your clarification would be much appreciated!

Regards,

Igor Rebenko

Glad they redirected to their respective region to verify than to klipsch, bose, beats etc or xiaomi.cn. :D and it confirms one way that its GENUINE FAKEs from themselves??? with bs sound and poor build quality.......

Enough said that,I dont think its a fair idea running behind them wasting our time and our money anymore,imo.....more than enough effort you put on this "smeagol"

Thanks for wasting your time DJ lol. The problem is there really is no information on how to contact the Indian guys. I tried contacting SG support as they are the only English speaking support and they say there is no difference whatsoever. Let's stop here until we get one solid proof. BTW anyone has info on KZ products? SymphonyX7 says they are better than the Pistons (IT IS HIS OPINION) and being relatively cheap with a good seller I can find, seems like a good deal. The Pistons are available for 25$ and the KZ COMBO Pack for KZ Special Edition and KZ ES is available for 16.20$ with free shipping. KZ Specials are for the bassheads whereas the KZES offer a balanced sound also there is a model GR that basically has the ability to switch nozzles for either bass boost or the vocals boost. Still confused, if anyone can help me out, it'll be appreciated. :)

The KZED is not better than the Pistons IMO. I've got coming the KZES so later will be able to give an opinion on those also.

I've already given my KZED away, I still have my pistons

Even though my KZ-ES are superior to most of my IEM's (after burning them in), I will never get rid of my Pistons. No way! Their sound signature is still unique in my book.......still in my top ten list!

Can someone please post a link to a deal for those headphones you are talking about?
Thanks
The combo deal is available here And if you want others go here They are getting well appreciated and they are cheaper than dirt lol I believe buying them would make a better deal than the Pistons but I am still confused whether I should buy the GR (Switchable nozzles for either bassy output or better vocal experience) or a single one like the Special Ed or the combo. Combo is not worth it IMHO. Pistons.....Man am I confused :frowning2:
