I’m actually really interested in this. I was excited for a more affordable cayin dap, but it has the bonus benefit of tubes

On vacation in the Caribbean this week, a much needed break from a super full year of work so far. I only brought one IEM since listening time is limited. And what I have found is that Annihilator 23 is an excellent all-rounder. I had pigeonholed it as a treble specialist, and guess what, everything I throw at it, like The Rolling Stones “Live at El Mocambo” this morning, sounds well rounded, with satisfying mid-bass, very good mids and male vocals, sublime treble of course, and top-shelf detail and dynamics that make it such an engaging and fun listen.

I’ll add that Liquid Links Venom does well to tighten the bass, and provide more impact to Anni’s transients and treble extension than I had been hearing with the 1950s Shielding I had paired it with at home. Also the DC-Elite enables the power-hungry Anni very well off my iPhone 15 Max.

It may be so that this listening experience is heavily influenced by my mood of the day, but it feels like this chain is all I could ever need.

Don't take your wallet with you to the meetup! Honestly, it's much safer to put it on a random street in Amsterdam and pick it up after the weekend.

It is that good imo lol personally, I prefer the 2021 version but to each their own it’s a very slight difference. Hopefully you can try both.

I have also been very happy with Anni23 for a month now. The only thing that is inconvenient for me is the cable, it is heavy and too heavy.
